Free ebooks on Gutenberg

The website Gutenberg.org is one of the oldest and most important sources for free ebooks that are in the public domain. Project Gutenberg was the first provider of free electronic books, or eBooks. Michael Hart, founder of Project Gutenberg, invented eBooks in 1971 and his memory continues to inspire the creation of eBooks and related technologies today.

On Gutenberg you’ll find ebooks in various languages, genres and about various topics. The most important works of literature are available, as well as other less known but equally enjoyable books.
